Die Akademie für Ethik in der Medizin schreibt ein weiteres Stipendium für Wissenschaftler*innen aus der Ukraine aus
Als konkretes Zeichen der Solidarität mit den Menschen in der Ukraine schreibt die Akademie für Ethik in der Medizin (AEM) erneut ein Stipendium für ukrainische Wissenschaftler*innen aus. Gefördert werden Studienaufenthalte an deutschen universitären bzw. außeruniversitären Forschungseinrichtungen. Sie verstehen sich als Anschub- oder Überbrückungsstipendien.
Antragsberechtigt sind Wissenschaftler*innen mit ukrainischer Staatsbürgerschaft, die auf dem Gebiet der Ethik in der Medizin und im Gesundheitswesen forschen. Die gastgebende Einrichtung kann den Antrag gemeinsam mit der Person koordinieren.
Das Stipendium erstreckt sich über max. 6 Monate und sieht eine Förderung von 1.000 Euro pro Monat vor. Es kann informell durch die Einreichung der folgenden Unterlagen beantragt werden:
1. Kurzes Bewerbungsschreiben (1-2 Seiten) mit folgenden Informationen:
a. An welcher Einrichtung ist der Studienaufenthalt geplant?
b. Für welchen Zeitraum ist der Studienaufenthalt geplant?
c. Welches wissenschaftliche Vorhaben soll während des Studienaufenthaltes realisiert werden?
2. Lebenslauf (deutsch oder englisch) mit Benennung der wichtigsten Publikationen (max. 5)
3. Bestätigung der gastgebenden Forschungseinrichtung, dass dem*der Antragsteller*in ein Studienaufenthalt in dem genannten Zeitraum ermöglicht wird, entsprechende Ausstattung zur Verfügung steht (z.B. Arbeitsplatz, Zugang zur Bibliothek und Grundausstattung) und keine andere Finanzierung des Studienaufenthalts (z.B. Anstellung, Projektförderung) möglich ist.
Die Anträge sind bis zum 1. März 2023 an die Geschäftsstelle der AEM (Adresse s. unten) zu richten. Bei mehreren Anträgen erfolgt eine Auswahl durch den Vorstand der AEM.

The Academy of Ethics in Medicine is awarding a further scholarship for scientists from Ukraine
As a practical sign of solidarity with the people of Ukraine, the Academy of Ethics in Medicine (AEM) is offering a further scholarship for Ukrainian scientists. Study visits to German university or non-university research institutions are funded. They are intended as start-up or bridging grants.
Scientists with Ukrainian citizenship who conduct research in the field of ethics in medicine and healthcare are eligible to apply. The host institution can coordinate the application together with the applicant.
The scholarship extends over a maximum of 6 months and provides funding of EUR 1,000 per month. It can be applied for informally by submitting the following documents
1. Short letter of application (1-2 pages) with the following information:
a. At which institution is the study visit planned?
b. How long is the study visit planned for?
c. Which scientific project should be realized during the study visit?
2. Curriculum vitae (German or English) naming the most important publications (max. 5)
3. Confirmation from the host research institution that the applicant will be able to study in the specified period, that the appropriate equipment is available (e.g. workplace, access to the library and basic equipment) and that no other funding of the study visit (e.g. employment, project funding) is given.
Applications must be submitted to the AEM office (address below) by March 1, 2023. In case of several applications, a selection will be made by the board of the AEM.
